UCF Board of Trustees Supports New College of Graduate Studies

At the July 24, 2008 meeting, the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees supported the establishment of the College of Graduate Studies effective August 8, 2008, with Dr. Patricia Bishop as dean.

The proposal addresses how the new graduate college will support the university’s future: “The College of Graduate Studies will articulate a vision of excellence for the university’s graduate community, bring an institution-wide perspective to all post-baccalaureate endeavors, provide an interdisciplinary perspective to graduate education, and increase the quality and quantity of graduate programs. Establishment of the college is a key step in securing UCF’s future as an urban-serving research university.”
