What is the GPS?

The GPS is the academic advisement tool that replaced DARS in Fall 2012. It provides a record of a student’s academic progress toward completion of their academic degree or certificate program. This feature permits the student to review courses they have taken, monitor in-progress courses and assess the number of courses needed to complete their degree. The report also shows students and advisors a student’s progress toward non course requirements such as publications, qualifying exams and dissertation steps. The GPS can also assist students and advisors in planning for current and future courses as they pertain to the student’s degree requirements.
