The Division of Graduate Studies is administratively located within UCF’s Office of Academic Affairs. It operates under the leadership and authority of the Provost and Executive Vice President, to whom the Vice Provost and Dean of the College of Graduate Studies reports. It works collegially with the Faculty Senate, various committees of the Senate, the deans of the colleges, and other campus entities that serve graduate students. In many ways, the Division works as a convening authority within the university, providing leadership among campus stakeholders to set a vision and take action on major issues affecting graduate education at UCF.
The university’s graduate programs are operated according to the requirements and regulations of the UCF Board of Trustees and the Florida Board of Governors. The university is a member of the Council of Graduate Schools, through which it seeks to contribute to the improvement and advancement of graduate education on the national level.
